About the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of New Jersey

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of New Jersey grants the wishes of children between the ages of 2 ½ and 18 who have life-threatening medical conditions, to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.  Currently headquartered in Union, NJ, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of New Jersey is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization governed by a diverse and respected volunteer Board of Directors.  The New Jersey Chapter, founded in 1983 and having granted over 5,400 wishes, serves the entire state of New Jersey.  For more information, visit www.wishnj.org.

History Of Event

This tournament has raised and donated over $60,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of NJ.  The money donated has granted 11 children's wishes in New Jersey.

Claims to Fame:

• $7,275.00 was donated in June of 2011.  Money donated allowed a 15 year old girl to have a Qunincenera, an 8 year old boy to enjoy a shopping spree, and a 9 year old boy to have a room make-over.

• $16,085 was donated in June of 2010.  Money donated allowed an 11 year old girl and her family to particpate in a Disney Cruise in the summer of 2010.  Also a 17 year old boy with a medical diagnosis of Non-hodgkins Lymphoma recieved his wish to go on a shopping spree to reicieve parts and acessories for his dirt bike.   

• $17,500 was donated in June of 2009.  Money donated allowed one child diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia to go to Disney World wtih her family.  Another child diagnosed with Lymphoma recieved the wish of a swimming pool.    

• $12,800 was donated in June of 2008.  Money donated allowed one child diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia to go to Disney World with their family and another child dianosed with Osteosarcoma to go and spend time visiting New York City. 
• $8,000 was donated in June of 2007, 2 child's wishes were granted.
